what yoga means to me...
My own relationship with yoga began over 35 years ago as a young woman, and it has been a constant thread of support in my life ever since, supporting me through pregnancy, motherhood, menopause and beyond.
I have worked with women for the past 25 years, with yoga at the core of what I offer.
My approach is guided by the beautiful work of Vanda Scaravelli and a number of wonderful teachers who have been inspired by her legacy, as well as the work of other influential movement practioners who follow an embodied approach
Yoga can support us as women in times of transition from puberty through to pregnancy into matrescence, and followed by menopause. With the right guidance and a tailored approach, you can, discover a whole new relationship with your body, and an appreciation of just how amazing it is.
I focus on the idea that less (effort) brings more (ease), and that our bodies are always learning and evolving. The space we enter in yoga is a place to become more in touch with ourselves and to discover movement that brings a sense of ease to the body, a form of moving meditation.
Through my own experiences and observations I believe a woman’s body often craves a more gentle and playfully nurturing approach. Something more fluid and rounded led by our breath.
Do come and try for yourself.
