WHAT YOGA MEANS TO ME
My own relationship with yoga began over 40 years ago as a young woman, and it has been a constant thread of support in my life ever since, supporting me through pregnancy, motherhood, menopause and beyond.
My approach is an intuitive and fluid form of yoga informed and inspired by somatic practices and the beautiful teachings of Vanda Scaravelli and a number of other wonderful teachers who have been inspired by her legacy, I have also explored the work of other influential movement practioners who follow an embodied approach
A more therapeutic approach helps rewire our nervous system as we discover how to create healthier patterns by literally ‘joining up the dots’ within the body. It will help you in restoring your sense of wellbeing wherever you are within your hormonal journey as a woman.
Yoga can support us as women in times of transition and hormonal shifts such as within your monthly cycles, the transition from pregnancy into motherhood, or the journey of menopause, including the pre- and post-periods. With the right guidance and a tailored approach, you can, discover a whole new relationship with your body, and an appreciation of just how amazing it is.
I focus on the idea that less (effort) brings more (ease), and that our bodies are always learning and evolving. The space we enter in yoga is a place to become more in touch with ourselves and to discover movement that brings a sense of ease to the body, a form of moving meditation.
Through my own experiences and observations I believe a woman’s body often craves a more gentle and playfully nurturing approach. Something more fluid and spiral like, led by our breath. Come and try for yourself in the studio, live online or a class from my shop.

testimonials
“Lynn creates such warmth in her yoga sessions, even online. Everything else slips away and her years of experience support you to stay with the sensations of your body to restore and deeply relax, tuning in to the very depth of your being. If you think you know it all and have tried it all, prepare to be inspired.”

“In this extraordinary year, I have been lucky enough to do yoga with Lynn, mostly online and a few rare and wonderful sessions in person. Her kindness and her calm, her encouraging and gentle approach to yoga makes me feel safe, welcome and does wonders for my otherwise quite achy body. I have been doing Lynn's classes for a few years and would like to continue into eternity and the after-life (if there are yoga classes in the after-life, I am not sure). A bit of hyperbole, but I really can't recommend Lynn's class highly enough. She has helped me a lot, especially this year, helped me to find calm within my body and my mind. She is a most lovely woman. ”

“Lynn is an incredible teacher and guide. I’ve practiced yoga with her for three years, first attending her postnatal classes with my baby son (a lifeline during lockdown) and I now go to her Monday online yoga class. These classes offer a wonderfully warm and supportive space. Lynn creates a very tangible atmosphere even though we meet virtually. Doing yoga with Lynn has brought me a sense of physical strength and mental calm — I find myself using her tips throughout the week. Somehow yoga and meditation has become threaded through my daily life without really thinking about it. I have a busy job and am a mum to a three year old so I cherish my Monday night moment of calm and focus. I feel incredibly lucky to have met Lynn at a particular moment in my life and to be able to develop a relationship to yoga with her gentle yet incredibly informed and experienced practice.”

“Lynn’s classes are a perfect way to unwind every Monday night. Even though we’re not even in the same room it stills feels as if she knows exactly what I need. I leave the session feeling so much calmer and ready to face the week ahead”
