MOTHER MENTORING & Support

mother mentor

Support for you on your mothering journey, how ever old your child may be.

I bring to my mentoring sessions over 25 years of working with mothers-to-be and and new mothers as well as training birthworkers in the perinatal period. I am a mother of two for the past 33 years and now a grandparent to two who remind me of how much our children teach us.

To begin you may wish to book a stand alone session followed by a motherhood or womanhood package. All costings on enquiry so get in touch to book your free discovery call today.

Is the transition into motherhood or your post-birth recovery affecting your physical, emotional, or mental well-being? These sessions offer non-judgmental support both before and after birth, guiding you through your mothering journey, no matter how old your child is.

I use the term 'mentor' rather than 'coach' because I see mentoring as a holistic approach to supporting you through early motherhood, empty nest syndrome, or your menopausal journey. It is during these transformative times that we seek support from someone with relevant experience and expertise.

My approach is unique and responsive, not prescriptive. I believe in the power and importance of truly listening, adapting my work to each individual as we embark on a journey together to empower and enrich you. It's an embodied approach that can include talking, simple movement, breathwork, and more.

I would love to accompany you on your journey, I currently have some availability through to December 2024 if you wish to get going now, get in touch to book a chat and to confirm availability & costs.

Motherhood as a Portal

The transition from maiden (independent self) to mother is challenging in many ways. Not least how our patriarchal society views mothers with little or no respect, unpaid work is one example, with this as our backdrop mothering is a radical act.

1:1 what to expect?

Join me for supportive non judgemental sessions that are not a luxury rather an investment that will help you to thrive rather than just survive. If your pregnancy, postpartum recovery, transition into motherhood or your ongoing mothering journey, is having an impact on your overall wellbeing, do get in touch.

Making the space to talk through any issues can be the first step to moving forwards. Together we can help you to regain your confidence and build a sense of wellbeing as you discover your way to mother, that is true to you & your child/childrens needs.

Breath & mindful movement may be weaved into sessions to support what comes up. We can discuss this at our first meeting as we create sessions tailored for you & your needs.

  • “I have had on going 1-1 motherhood mentoring sessions with Lynn in the last few months as I have been struggling to heal my own family patterns as well as cope on a day to day basis with toddler behaviour and being a single mother on the weekdays. She has a really wonderful loving demeanour which helps give me the unconditional, non-judgmental support I need to enable me to transform my self perspective and mothering into something which I would be proud of. She has been my rock when I needed it most and I am eternally thankful to her for helping me grow.”

  • My sessions with Lynn were the light in the early months of motherhood. Through her gentle yoga I started to feel stronger physically, and through discussion and her caring approach, I started to feel much stronger mentally. She taught me the art of being kinder to myself and it has made me a much better, and happier, mother and partner.

  • I will be eternally grateful to Lynn for providing critical advice on regaining pelvic floor strength. After a second vaginal birth which caused a severe cervical prolapse left me extremely weakened, I was struggling to do the pelvic floor exercises required to gain strength and prevent serious problems in the future (including incontinence), even with the support of physiotherapy. Advice from Lynn on breathing techniques in particular has made it possible for me to start doing the exercises properly without the aid of a machine and I now make yoga with Lynn an unmissable part of every week!
