During the pandemic I was able to continue supporting women’s wellbeing within my courses, workshops and one to one sessions via zoom. I will continue to offer my support, now things are reopening, live online & in-person.
In this busy, 24/7 world, yoga gives us the space to reconnect with our bodies and ourselves. Having the chance to press pause and reset, both physically and emotionally, is especially important when you first become a mother; a time of huge transition and growth that while filled with joy and wonder, is not without its challenges.
My own relationship with yoga began over 35 years ago, and it has been a constant thread of support in my life ever since. I have worked with new mothers for over two decades, using my own experiences as not only a teacher but also a mother (and now grandmother!), to give them the space to be nurtured and heard, the time to reflect and prepare, the chance to listen to their body, their self and their baby.
There are so many ways to be a mother, and your time on the mat should be the chance for you to find yours, as you set off on this life-changing journey that is matrescence.
Matrescence, the developmental phase of new motherhood, is like adolescence - a transition when hormones surge, bodies change, and identity and relationships shift.
My aim is to create space for all those that mother, however old your child maybe or not yet arrived.
